Agreed; We'll look harder at the switches. > I also am wondering, and this is probably my ignorance, but why do > you reload fresh images every day/week? Seems a little tedious. Training environments. Resetting each machine to a known state particular to the type of training session, and at the same time creating/configuring vlans, fibre zones, vtl, fibre disk lun etc configs on the fly.... A lot of moving parts of which the system image is just one piece. We might end up pulling all the disks out of the machines and putting them central on a filer, then do lun snapshots etc instead. That's something I'd rather put off for a while longer if possible. _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
