Looks like I have an outdated or mismatched set of udpcast send/ receive binaries. The switch port is seen as flapping and for some reason only affects the large images. I'll be upgrading to latest udpcast and recustomizing our pxe/initrd image and see what happens. Next steps after that is looking at FOG, then going for the brass ring of automating lun snap/clone/boot.
