Hi,

First thanks to everyone that responded. It looks like I have these
options to migrate mail:

1. Direct migration of raw mail files. Unfortunately this does not work
in my case because Scalix is a custom closed format.

2. Run multiple, concurrent IMAP transfers. We are testing this option
now. If this works we plan to run around 40 - 50 concurrent imap
transfer processes which should allow us to complete the migration in a
weekend.

3. Set up a smtp/pop/imap proxy such as perdition or nginx that uses a
database to redirect requests to the old or new mail server and then do
the migration at our leisure (updating the database to redirect to a
user to the new mail server after they have been moved).

4. Set up the new server and provide instructions for users to connect
to it and migrate their own email. Definitely not an option for my user
base :).

Thanks again for all the ideas.

cheers,

ski
