I'm still searching for a system that will make it easy to share files between our various offices, home offices, and road warriors. I am primarily a BSD/Linux shop but most of my clients are MS Windows, with a good amount of Mac and Linux people as well. Any solution would need to be able to accommodate all of these people and still be as easy and useful as a CIFS share, yet secure enough to make available to clients on the open Internet.
Who do you use to share files with your mobile workforce? Some things I've tried that don't work: CIFS - too insecure on the open 'Net SFTP - people have trouble working with remote files WebDAV - none of the servers I've found support complex ACLs; most clients are unstable IPsec - complicated to set up, use, and support clients -- Perfection is just a word I use occasionally with mustard. --Atom Powers-- _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
