OSX 10.4.4 problem

Warning: I have found that once you download and install 10.4.4, you 
start having problems using the software upgrade feature.  It refuses to 
go out and see if there are any upgrades and claims there is no internet 
link when in fact I have both safari and mail working perfectly. Looking 
at the 10.4.4 description on the apple web site, I find that they made 
changes to the software upgrade subprogram in 10.4.4.  Vickie Weir
