On my machine, my external disk is /dev/disks10.
So, for me to mount it I would use
mount /dev/disks10 /volumes/backup disk for minimac
You'll have to put quotes around the mount point if it has spaces in
the name, but otherwise the command is the same. Of course, if your
external disk isn't disks10, then you'll need to find it. Just try
all the mount points until one works. (mount them on /tmp
temporarily, you can always
umount /tmp
to remove it.
