when you first put on the os x tiger dvd, what key combinations do you press
to get vo to speak during the install process? i heard that vo didn't speak
during install and that a certain key combination needed to be pressed to
get vo to speak during install. if this is so, what are the keys and when do
they need to be pressed in the install to get it to speak?

command-f5 for a regular computer. fn-command-f5 for those using iBooks,
MacBooks and MacBook Pros.

If tigger isn't on the mac yet, then voiceover can't be installed.
You need to put tiger on it first. Then after all is up and running
command-F5 will turn it on. If you install with the dvds, then vo
will speak during installation. From all reports, if installing from
cds, vo won't talk during install, only after it's done. Key
combination is the same though.
