To play discs ripped to the hd, you need to load the dvd player
first. Then, using the open file (command-O) command, you can select
the foler that has the dvd in it. You need to select the video_ts
directory, as apple's dvd player doesn't add that string. The
softcon dvd player does, but for some reason, it won't play from
disk. I'm still working on this, and will post a fix once it's
figured out.
So, for now, use the apple dvd player to play dvds ripped to your hd.
It works well, I do i all the time.

Good morning all:
I have a question about mactheripper. I have ventured into the
world of attempting to copy dvds, for my own use. I downloaded a
copy of mactheripper. I installed it and the installation seemed to
go well. I inserted a dvd and selected the copy only main feature.
The program seemed to work and the feature was copied. When I
opened the created folder, and clicked on a file, I was informed
that no selected application had been selected to play the file. I
attempted to select DVD player to play the file with no luck.
My question, am I missing something? Do I have to select another
application to play the file from my hard drifve? Can it be played
from the hard drive at all or does it require being burned to a
disk? yes, you can see that I am a novice. Mercy is requested (wink).
I know there will be great advice forthcoming so thank you so much
in advance.
Take good care and I wish you enough.
