Apple does that all the time, and has for years. One takes the good with the bad. From their perspective, do you really expect them to sabotage sales by pre-announceing product improvements? It is like buying a car or most other products that are regularly refreshed. next years model will always be better. You got a good machine at a fair price. Is it not just sour grapes that someone got a better deal by waiting? That other offerings were made available latter hardly impacts the value of your purchase. You also got a few months more use out of your machine than you would have if you waited. If this sort of thing really bothers you, make sure you are among the first to buy a new model.
