Apple does that all the time, and has for years.  One takes the good
with the bad.  From their perspective, do you really expect them to
sabotage sales by pre-announceing product improvements?  It is like
buying a car or most other products that are regularly refreshed. 
next years model will always be better.

You got a good machine at a fair price.  Is it not just sour grapes
that someone got a better deal by waiting?  That other offerings were
made available latter hardly impacts the value of your purchase.  You
also got a few months more use out of your machine than you would have
if you waited.  If this sort of thing really bothers you, make sure
you are among the first to buy a new model.  You can also use this:
