In SF, you don't have to use markers. And you can scroll quicker through sections by using he PGDWN and PGUP keys. You can also cut & paste audio between windows etc. I haven't yet found a way to do that in SS. But that doesn't mean you can't.

As I said I'd like to see enhancements made to scrolling because its very slow with the keyboard but there's actually a good point to this and that is you can make your selection very accurate.
