I sure hope there's another expanation to this and the installation  
is just coincidence, but I just updated to macos10.4.7 and I'm  
experencing major busy signals and having to turn vo off and on,  
mostly in safari. Haven't tried repairing permissions yet but will do  
so. I think I've shut down once since the restart after the update  
but will try that again too. would be interested in knowing if  
anybody else experiences such problems after updating to 10.4.7.
