yes the shorter one is the monitor port. I did not think there was a
difference between a mac and a pc monitor, but then if your pc is modern
enough for this to be different perhaps this is the case.

in the back of the unit, on the lower right hand side at the very bottom
there are a series of ports. Granted I am working as if you had the
machine facing you and are reaching around behind it. One of them as you
have noticed looks like a printer or parallel port. there is a second
port on the left. Between the two of them there is a round port that is
much like a mouse or keyboard port and one that fits a phone jack.
The shorter of the two ports is for the monitor.
