Well I'm sorry but I would definately not call Text Edit a fully
blown word processor, rather I'd call it a Junior word processor but
again, it has some very nice features to its credit.

Hi
No I didn't realise that Text Edit was a fully blown word processor,
I thought it was simply a text editor similar to notepad or wordpad

You do realize that text edit that comes with mac os is a full-
blown word processor, not just a text editor right?
So, because of that, nisus writer isn't the *only* accessible word
processor, though it may very well be the only 3rd party
accessible word processor.
But to answer your question, no, I do not know of any mac word
processors that auto index.
Hell, I don't know of any windows word processors that auto index
with any real accuracy, so what's the difference?
