please note:

I am working on the creative commons licensing issue. Please give me time.

Thanks

Hi again,

Glad we've cleared this all up. Just a couple of little responses.

Granted, but they have already admitted they won't have drupal [sp] up
anytime soon.

JL: Ah, OK. I must've missed that somewhere down the line, or else had forgotten. I don't remember seeing anything about a timeline from them. My apologies.

Perhaps you were overly diplomatic, or maybe I am just being dense!

JL: I tend to think it was my overly dipplomatic way of stating things, which I am sadly famous for in other communities. It may have been a little of both, but I think we're on the same page now. *smile*

You may be better tuned into the pulse of the community than I, but my
impression is that the success of Apple and VoiceOver are very much
tangental to our efforts. I think the likes of Jay Leventhal are
missing a trend they can either lead or follow. I don't think
political correctness matters much when huge forces, like the aging
baby boomers, will change everything over the next decade.

JL: You may be right. As far as being tuned in, I am primarily tuned into the VI gaming community, but I have seen quite a lot of cross-over between various groups.

Do you feel that supporting the wiki effort endorses Gabe's other behavior?

JL: Not really, no. I would especially feel better about it if the content was made the property of the community at large through Creative Commons, as Allestor suggested. (hope I got the spelling right there.) Being able to later move the content to somewhere like MacVissionaries or ScreenlessSwitchers would be a great option.

Thank goodness for that! Condemnation from someone with your
reputation of the fledgling MacVisionaries list could have killed it
at the beginning.

JL: LOL. Do I have that much of a reputation? I try to stay informed on my industry, but have little idea of what anyone is saying about me personally. *sheepish grin*

Mea culpa! Your contributions to the Mac VI are quite famous. You
have already done enough for two or three life times! I am alarmed
because we are so desperate for a wiki. and Gabe contribution is
drawing fire even before it is launched.

JL: I certainly can appreciate that. My contributions are famous?!

Oops. And there I go again...

JL: Dear dear...not a Britney reference! Kidding. Glad we sorted this out.
