returned to it, this was what I did. So yes, what I'm seeing is what
you describe. Thanks. Makes sense now. So I presume then that one
can get to folders below your home directory via Terminal? I did
briefly play with Suse linux A FEW YEARS AGO, BUT DIDN'T GET FAR.
I'D REALLY LIKE TO GET MORE INVOLVED WITH THIS KIND OF THING. I'M
HOPING TO MYGRATE ONE OF MY PC'S to LINUX shortly, so it would help.

Of course, your log in name will be there instead of mine. When I
have stuff to copy into terminal, I copy it to the clip board and
paste it in to the terminal window. Take a look at the result with
VO navvigation and if you don't see your name at the bottom, just
press enter and then read the output again.
