rewrite the actually feed address and have it catchable with either a
web browser or another catcher.

On the contrary, I host one. There are a few podcasts which only
offer iTunes feeds. I thought I made that pretty clear in my
message. Most podcasts you can subscribe using any podcast catcher
you like, but there are some that only have the specialized iTunes
feeds. *smile*
