apple policy regarding applications

What is the policy for apple produts?  I can purchase a Microsoft product and 
place a fully functioning product on two computers, my desktop and my laptop 
for the single price of a single product.  This allows me to insert the key for 
authorization on each Microsoft product in each computer without having to 
purchase two keys at the same price for a single key.  Is it the same for an 
Apple product?
