Hi John,

Unless I'm missing something, that is outrageous! Whilst i am not a US citizen, it has always been my understanding that NFB and other organizations were set up to help us and give us a more equal footing as our sighted peeres in this sighted world.

Surely for NFB to side with the commercial US television networks, and overlook the FFC's requirement for us to have a greater level of audio described programming of VHS etc, is not only counter productive an exclusionary, but countermand to their mandate?

With regard to the Microsoft issue, I stand by what i said yesterday.

It is true that at the present moment, the Microsoft Scren Reading access is greater in some ways to Voice Over's, espcially with respect ot third party software such as word processors and other programs etc. However, VO is an excellent product, and can only get better as time goes on.

Let's not forget folks, the VO comes bundled with Tiger, and at the same price as Jaws in the UK, £750 you can get this system with a built in screen reader, that isn't a Narrator knock off, but a very advanced Screen Reader, considering that this is Apple's first incarnation of Voice Over.

All the Best

James
