Interesting, outline the steps for me and lets see if I can reproduce
the problem. I haven't encountered this yet, but perhaps we're doing
it differently.

Perhaps an obvious question, but did you try command 3 for column
view or command 1 for icon view? Have you logged out and back in
or restarted?
