3. Maybe it's possible to convert very short files to audio or maybe others have had more success than I have had. With the files i've tried I get up to maybe as much as ten or eleven percent and then I get the premature quitting of recording and the explanation about the vo bug in spite of the fact that I haven't touched vo controls or anything else on my keyboard.

I have had no trouble exporting documents to audio files. The largest file I exported to iTunes was over 11000 words long and it worked perfectly and only took a few minutes to complete, giving me a running commentary on its progress. This facility works equally well for short files. I just ignore all the "Unknowns" and unlabeled buttons and find I can achieve what I want quite easily. My main use for VisioVoice is when translating. I open the document to be translated in VisioVoice then open a TextEdit document into which I type my translation. I do not have to switch between the two apps as VisioVoice works happily in the background and its hotkeys do not correspond to anything in TextEdit. I am therefore able to Play, Pause, Rewind, Fast Forward and Stop, just as I would with a tape.

I don't know if this is of any help, but I'm just trying to explain how it works for me.

Anne
