Hi all,
It is my understanding that deleting something from the "Login Items"
would only remove a reference to it within the "Login Items"
process. This would not remove the app and thus you should still be
able to turn VO on upon restart or check the box that David mentioned
for having VO on during the "Login Window". In any case, you did
some investigating that gave you some new insights so that's good in
itself.

I figured it out!!! I had forgotten that to use "locate" to find
this I'd have to become root and go to the slash directory. Once I
found the path for SpeechsynthesisServer.app I was able to use
completion the search text field (didn't realize completion worked
there till just now) and was able to add it back.
