I've never seen mobile speak for that high even from the manufacturer.

Mobilespeak Pocket *is* about $600 (less if you look,
sometimes). Mobilespeak Smart Phone (which works on Windows Mobile
Smart phone Edition phones like the T-Mobile Dash, T-Mobile SDA,
Cingular 2125/3125, Motorola Q, and others) is about $300.
