I am primarily dealing with pop here.  When there are large amounts  
of mail to be downloaded, I have noticed interruptions.  I have  
noticed that after these interruptions, when I look right away, there  
are still messages that did not come down and their sent times  
indicate they should have.  I don't often check but when I find old  
messages on the server, I can usually relate it to connection  
issues.  My cable internet providor has some small issues like this  
and my of site host does also.  In fact, there are periods of time  
when I cannot download mail at all from one or the other.
