Actually, I'm not doing anything with my Mac at the moment. My poor iBook G3/500 just started being too slow for me. Besides, the CDRW/DVD drive decided to stop working. Anyone need a parts machine (working 20GB hard drive and display and relatively good case and battery, actually, everything but the mouse button and the CDROM/DVD drive)? Anyway. I'm just about to get another Mac, Macbook specifically. I was thinking I'd wait for Leopard, but I'm getting tired of lugging the Windows machine up and down the stairs (sometime I need it for stuff down here, because my Linux machines are slow and I don't have a working graphical browser on them yet, and the braille printer's upstairs). ... Anyway, I'm getting tired of lugging the Windows machine up and down the stairs, and I miss my Mac.
But you can do anything on it, apart, it seems, from a spreadsheet. No accessible Excel equivalent, yet. But everything else? You bet. Even Echolink. The Web browser works great, and Email's a breeze. Several word processors, and at least a couple IM clients. The only thing is, you really have to forget about how you view Web pages with JFW, it's not the same. For one thing, you get a better idea of how the page is visually laid out with VO. Oh yeah.
