I have to agree with Ann here. When I was using Safari on the Mac,
about 99% of the pages I needed worked without any problem. Some Flash
content was problematic; some pages that dynamically changed
(i.e. click a link and get more links) sometimes exhibited problems,
but those were the exception rather than the rule. Will pages skip
around? Yes, if you don't know how to navigate between their elements
properly. Remember, your view of the page in VO is more like what a
sighted person might experience, where you get an idea of how columns
and rows are laid out in a table, for instance. Learning curve? You
bet. Especially if you have a lot to un-learn. Unfortunately for you,
James, you picked a bad example of something that doesn't work well
with VO (namely, Safari, which works beautifully). Does VO have
shortcomings? Yes, several, and several of those are, according to the
Leopard accessibility page, going to be addressed very shortly.
