Yes, I either keep all those boxes checked or else all but the VoiceOver Cursor tracks Mouse Cursor checked. Of the options at the top of the Navigation pane, I usually have grouping checked (Group items in Web pages) but sometimes I turn it off, And I have "VoiceOver Cursor moves to newly loaded web page" and "Navigate images" checked, and "Only navigate images with a description" unchecked, but none of those items should affect your abiltiy to "click" with VO-keys+shift+space bar. I know that the MacBook and MacBook Pro have some other TrackPad options (not under VoiceOver), but they shouldn't affect your ability to "click" -- they're for things like two finger scrolling where you can scroll down a web page by holding one finger on the track pad and stroking a second finger downwards. on the track pad. That's not needed with VoiceOver.
