No Recycle Bin, you have tTrash. You move items to the trash and empty the trash. Also you have secure empty trash which removes the deleted items from being recovered from your harddrive. The enter key on Applications and some other items prepares the item to be renamed (not good in my opinion). You use the commands you are reading about to open items.
