From my understanding of the information currently posted on Apple's
site, I believe the NumPad Commander is just another option, and does
not replace the old VoiceOver commands. Besides, the numeric keypad
is available two different ways on MacBooks...either by holding down
the FN key and using the right side of the keyboard, or locking the
right side of the keyboard in numeric keypad mode with F6
