Yes, if you purchased your pc no earlier than oct 1, you get leopard  
for $10.00 I think.  There are other ways to get a discount as well,  
but it is a full os.  It is an upgrade if you have tiger I don't think  
you can upgrade anything earlier than tiger though.  The ouch here is  
that if you don't have tiger, you better get it before friday or  
chances are, you won't get it.  Once you have upgraded to tiger, you  
can upgrade to Leopard.  Check with apple and others for a discounted  
price, but be prepared to pay a whooping 129.00 if you don't fit into  
any of the classifications or cannot find a discount.  I believe there  
is one that anyone can take advantage of or perhaps two.  The first  
one is from MacMall/amazon a little less there.  By a new Mac for a  
couple grand and pay 10 dollars.  Hurry though or wait and you can get  
leopard free.
