I had this problem too. Make sure you set character echo on in the
verbosity settings of VO.
I have no idea whatsoever why this works, but it should.

I have to guess when to enter in my character name and password.
And as for anything past that, it's very spotty if it reads at all.
So what settings do I need to fix in VO to make terminal behave? :)
