forwarding emails - winmail.dat

Hi there all,
I have some email still left on my windows machine that I am trying to  
get over into apple mail. I still don't have my windows cd's so can't  
install bootcamp.
I have tried using thunder to get them over but not all of my messages  
came. The ones I have left I have started forwarding to myself.
The problem is some of them are coming minus their attachments - these  
seem to be bundled up in a file called winmail.dat which mail doesn't  
seem to be able to handle. I think the files are mostly jpegs.
Any advice on how to get information out of these winmail.dat files or  
otherwise how to get these messages across in one piece from Outlook  
onto my mac.
