Hi Esther,
I much prefer using the hierarchical menus in Tiger over Aliases, as
it doesn't requiring opening and navigating the folders. I suspect
that we will see Apple restore the menu feature eventually, as it is a
wide-spread complaint by Leopard users regardless of vision or a lack
thereof. The problem isn't with Spaces, but rather with Stacks, which
are what replaced the hierarchical menus in Leopard. The problem is
compounded by the fact that Stacks are not accessible.

Hi Josh,
How do you find using the alias as compared to having the folder
in the dock, with the available hierarchical menu structure in
Tiger? (I'm going by the information in the Screenless Switchers
podcast on Leopard, that you used to use this in Tiger, and
couldn't use this in Leopard because of the way the new Spaces
feature works. Correct me if I'm wrong on any of this, since I'm
still using Tiger.) I've navigated with both.
Cheers,
Esther
