Cheryl, You need to wait a long time for that update if it is happening. You also need to properly shutdown windows and restart it I think. Is this I can't remember, a new copy of xpsp2?

I must be missing some steps here but from what I can find in the "getting started" guide, I don't know what I'm missing.
