hmm, as I recall, I was able to hook up my usb speakers and use them in windows, it was the internal speakers that I had to wait for the leopard dvd windows drivers to load for.

I still didn't get sound but when I did vokeys-space on the button to connect my usb speakers, voiceover immediately switched back to using ;my internal speaker.
