hmm, as I recall, I was able to hook up my usb speakers and use them in 
windows, it was the internal speakers that I had to wait for the leopard dvd 
windows drivers to load for.

Well, this is interesting; I haven't tried the leopard dvd yet. What I did
try was connecting my usb speakers. I changed to them in System Preferences
and then started fusion and my virtual machine. I still didn't get sound but
when I did vokeys-space on the button to connect my usb speakers, voiceover
immediately switched back to using ;my internal speaker. When I shut down
the guest vo went back to using the usb speakers. Don't know if that means
anything or not.
