Hi Dan, There is indeed a line in port on the IMac. I don't know much about mixers though so don't know what kind of milage you will need. You can regulate what happens with the line in port to a point.
As to the ntfs drive issue, the way I understand it is you can read from it but not write to it. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dan Eickmeier" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, December 31, 2007 5:18 PM Subject: Some questions about IMacs Hey all, I'm currently a PC user, but from what i've been hearing about the mac, I'm really sereously thinking of switching. Thought I'd join this list to ask a few questions before deciding to do so though. I've got a mixer hooked into my pc here, in the line in jack of my soundcard, so would i be able to use that with the mac? Is there a line in jack somewhere on the IMacs? Or not. And, I've got an external 500 gig hardrive, formatted in nTFS, which has all my music collection, production materials, such as beds, fillers, etc on it, so would I be able to hook that up into the mac, and use it ok? Don't want to have to reformat that drive, just so it can be formatted right for the mac, in whatever format they use. Dan Eickmeier, Brantford Ontario Canada. Amateur radio station va3ets.
