Ah thanks a lot to Dave, Scott, and tim.
I'm constantly adding to my music collection, so I wouldn't be able
to write to that drive then with a mac?

Hi Dan,
Welcome to the list.
DE: I've got a mixer hooked into my pc here, in the line in jack of
my soundcard, so would i be able to use that with the mac? Is there
a line in jack somewhere on the IMacs? Or not
TK: Yes. There is a Line-In and headphone out jack on the back of
the iMac. You should have no problems using that equipment with a Mac.
DE: And, I've got an external 500 gig hardrive, formatted in nTFS,
which has all my music collection, production materials, such as beds,
fillers, etc on it, so would I be able to hook that up into the mac,
and use it ok? Don't want to have to reformat that drive, just so it
can be formatted right for the mac, in whatever format they use.
TK: Yes. The Mac accepts both USB and Firewire drives. There are
some limitations with NTFS formats but you'll have no problems reading
and using all the music and effect files.
