and even if they do roll it ou, how long will it be before devices catch up. 
I had a power supply issue with my powerbook g4 that never got fixed but 
it's kind of illusive.  It's good to have apple care though because they 
replaced some rather expensive components which I didn't have to pay for.

Hey, I have one of the first generation Imacs and I haven't had any
real problems other than the DVD drive going bad, but that has nothing
to do with design etc. That's just a component that can fail whenever
the mood strikes it. grin
I would only consider waiting to see if Apple is adopting the new
Firewire standard which apparently has a throughput of something like
2 or so gigs. Don't quote me on this, but that is what I recall and if
that's the case, that will be damned fast, faster than the SATA drives.
Of course you never know what in the world Apple will rollout so
sometimes you wait and its just software or it may have nothing to do
with the computers directly; like Apple TV or something.
