Hi Keith,
KB: OK have subscribed to the ACB main menu podcast i instructed itunes
to download the last 10 episodes, do i just leave it to get on with it or
do i need to do something else? also if i am using my Mac for other things
will itunes automaticaly check for podcasts or do i have to open it every
day?
You probably started a podcast subscription and instructed iTunes to
keep the last 10 episodes that it downloads. I think the default is for
iTunes
to check for new podcasts every day, but you can change the frequency
with which it does its checks (e.g. every hour, every week, etc.) or force
it
to update its feed manually by choosing "Update Podcast" option using
the contextual menu for that podcast in the songs outline (when you have
selected "Podcasts" in the sources outline).
You can also force all podcast feeds to re-sync (which is more than just
updating feeds) with Command+Option+Right bracket as described in
this archive post:
http://www.mail-archive.com/discuss%40macvisionaries.com/msg24234.html
(I don't do this because I don't like to get information on all podcast
episodes
currently on the feed, even before I started subscribing -- the lists can
be
very long. But you have that option.)
HTH
Cheers,
Esther
