Dear James,

Pleased to meet you on the list. I'm totally blind and use a braille
display with Voiceover speech on a Macbook.

There is a list of currently supported Braille displays on Apple
accessibility website. I'm afraid that only some USB braille displays
are supported. Don't buy anything yet, until you know that you have a
braille display supported by Leopard. I've never tried to use just a
braille display without actually also listening to the speech
feedback. I will try to seee. I'm also based in the K. Unless you have
heard from others on the list already, I will try to find the list of
currently supported braille displays and let you have it. You could in
the meantime try
www.apple.com/accessibility/voiceover

With best wishes
