JP: I couldn't get my combos to work at all, but I didn't try turning off VoiceOver. I'll give it another shot tomorrow.
TK: A couple things to note John. I'd stay away from using the ctrl key in your key combo. With VO it seems to cause more grief than its worth. In Tiger, I created the key combo with no other apps running, restarted the Mac then it seemed to work fine. I used cmd-option- shift-x and it worked as it should. I'll try it on Leopard tomorrow.
