Command plus R does nothing. What I've done since the last message was
delete the I Tunes library files and set I Tunes up like normal, but
no go.

Hi Shaun,
If you can go to the folder and play it in iTunes, what happens when
you select the podcast episode in the Songs Outline, use Command+r
to show it in a Finder Window, and then try to play it as though you
had navigated there with Finder? I'm wondering if iTunes has somehow
lost track of the episode's location in its database. But if that
is true
you also won't find the podcast file when you do the Show in Finder
trick.
Cheers,
Esther

Thanks Ester for helping again. My issue is not the volume or much of
the stuff you named but I kept it for future trouble shooting. I
simply can't play podcast in I Tunes by pressing return on the
unplayed podcast. It is my normal behavior to have three unplayed
podcast and I would just press return on the episode and it would
play
and if I made a mistake and played one that wasn't downloaded it
would
give me a prompt to choose the location. This is really getting on my
nerves and I want to throw this thing up against a wall or switch to
VLC. I can go to the podcast folder and open the same item and play
it
in I Tunes with no problem, so I don't know what is a matter.
