Of course, you can dial a number this way, but once the call's
connected, you can't send additional DTMF commands with the number
keys. At least, I haven't been able to on the Mac. Dialing a call is
no problem. Sending additional DTMF commands (for instance, to
interact with an IVR) does not work by typing numbers on the keyboard.
I said I do it all of the time, so you might have an earlier version
of the software or there's something strange about the phone system
you are communicating with.
