If you don't get three years of apple care and your hd blows up, where ya gonna get the $250 or more to have it replaced? Even the keyboard with labor can cost a lot. I had a power problem with my powerbook and they did $500.00 worth of work on it and I payed nada except for the cost of transportation to the shop and back which was free and of course my time when in them days was free so I'd say it's worth it.
