Hello From the UK, After my experience with the first of the new Flat Screen iMacs purchased a little over 3 years ago I wouldn't purchase a Mac without Apple Care. A 20" iMac top of the range at the time. The Logic Board after 18 months and a second time 1 month after the Care Plan ran out decided to give it up. Because I have the Apple Care protection, the board was replaced and it didn't cost me a further penny. I played the blind card and they took pity on me. Well one Apple! As far as I'm concerned, the insurance you get with it can not be beaten.
