Hi James,

You asked: Could someone please advise me on how to paste items in the list view of a finder window? I have found that this view is more VO friendly, although I wish VO would stop saying "row" before it announces what the file is.

TK: The best way I've found to paste when in List View is to actually open the folder you wish the item pasted into. That is, when you navigate to the folder, press cmd-o to open the folder then do the paste. Since the specific folder is the open window, you are guaranteed that the item will be pasted into that folder. When in this mode, I prefer to have the checkbox checked for opening folders in a separate window. This is not imperative but I prefer it set this way. You will find this preference in the General pane of the Finder Preferences.

With respect to VO announcing the row, if you first Interact With the List Table then you can either use the arrow keys alone or use VO navigation and the row will not be announced.

As a matter of interest, I prefer List mode as well. Probably only because I'm more used to it from my OS 9 days.
