Yeah, I have to agree with David. TextEdit, despite its name, is a
pretty capable word processing app. For most users, it will be more
than sufficient. To say that the Mac has no built-in word processor
is plainly false. It has a basic one, but even that is a little
misleading, since most basic word processors don't have access to
spelling or grammar checkers.
