You could advertize it through local organizations and service groups
and pool transportation. Let your local RNIB office or any other
organisation that servs the blind that the workshop is on, and arange
to have a service club provide volunteer drivers for the time of the
workshop.
At least that could be done here, I'm not sureabout there, but it
works quite well here, much as I prefer to do my own mobility.

fascinating stuff! I live inbetween two pretty big apple stores here
in London, might give accessibility a shout and see if there's
anything I can do to help out with demoing or workshops if they ever
do any this side of the pond. Not sure how high the attendance would
be though, seeing as both the areas I can think of with Apple stores
in London at least are mobility nightmares!

Yes, I was actually thinking of applying to apple canada to offer my
services as a one on one VO trainer. I'm not quite ready yet.
There're a few things I'd like to have well in hand before I do that,
but I could sell it and pick up a few more billable hours...
hopefully.

To the best of my knowledge, this is the first of its kind. An
Apple Store in Chicago will be hosting VoiceOver workshops in May.
You can find the rest of the information on this at the link below.
I'd like to see this extended to other stores as well.
