Hi, I'm just learning how to get up and running with my macbook. I've started reading the getting started with Voice Over manual and during the chapter on using the keyboard somehow I seem to have turned Voice Over off kind of. Alex does speak the time on the quarter hour which I previously set in sys prefs and if I hold in the button normally used to turn my Macbook on I get asked do I want to really turn my Macbook off but I can't navigate anywhere with speech to give my option. If I hit command f5 I hear a kind of wap sound as when you turn up or down the volume so I'm wondering does anyone have any ideas how I can restore speech bearing in mind I don't know any Mac users in the u.k and have no sighted help available?
