right, but if you are running vo, it does it for you so you don't need to 
change it unless for some reason you need this functionality without vo such 
as in the instanc of restarting vo.

You can change the function of the F Keys so that you only need press
CMD + F5 instead of FN + CMD + F5.

Here's how;

1. Go to "system preferences"
2. Go the "keyboard and mouse" preferences
3. In the "keyboard" tab, make sure that the checkbox called "use all
F keys as standard function keys"  is checked. This will mean that you
can now use CMD + F5 to turn VoiceOver on and off, as well as control
the volume and screen brightness if this is important to you, by using
the F keys on their own. The FN key will now control

the special functions of these keys - not sure what these are sorry.
