Hi there,
Thanks for that. You just reminded me - in a very round about fashion - has the voiceover manual for 10.5 been released as a spoken recording like the tiger reference as of yet? Or are there any suitable plaseboes?
Cheers

In the finder, you delet files with command-backspace.

If you reinstall the os, windows will be fine.

What is superior depends on what you want to do. There is an accessible
spreadsheet called tables which goes a long way toward providing a vo
friendly spreadsheet environment which is currently lacking. What is
generic to the os will depend on they system you have but of the ones that
are truly generic, I would say that there are none better. safari is
superior to any browser I have used on the Mac. Mail is awesom and text
edit unless you want to get really fancy is the berries. ITunes does it all
and most of it well. What it doesn't do well, it does not do.

You may want to joint eh macvoiceover list on freelists to get some more
specific vo feedback and check the archives for both lists. There are a
couple of informative podcasts on blindcooltech and you will benefit from
listening to the podcasts at:
http://www.screenlessswitchers.com
as well as embibing in the info found at:
http://www.lioncourt.com

Welcome to the Mac and VO and enjoy your journey. Please let us know how
you get on and if we can help, we will.

Subject: miscellaneous queries

Hi there folks,
I've got a big bunch of queries - as a novis mac user transiting from
win32 - which I need to clear up:
1. I notice that in my edit menu there is no "delete" function, neitehr is
there one in the file menu or anywhere else I'm looking. So, how does one
delete files?
2. I notice that the "cut" function appears to be constantly greyed out. Why
might this be?
3. If I reinstall my mac partition, will my windows partition installed via
bootcamp be removed as well?
4. Are there any essential applications which do not come along with mac
which would be useful to have which either have superior functions to the
generic applications or make voiceovering a little easier?
Cheers,
Hayden
